Whitesands
Whitesands (Porth-mawr) is situated near the city of St Davids on the west coast of Pembrokeshire. This Blue Flag beach is a favourite haunt of surfers & bathers alike. The best known features of this beach are the promontory of Trwynhwrddyn and Carn Llidi (a high crag) at the north end.
What Lies Beneath
When I arrived at Whitesands the tide covered the area in this image. I spent the afternoon/evening chasing the tide down the beach and when the sun set the outgoing tide had left me with this lovely wet seaweed as perfect lead in for a photograph.
The landmass to the right is Trwynhwrddyn. To the left you can see the mainland and Ramsey Island.
