Tarn Hows, or the Tarns, was once 3 Tarns (small mountain lake) until they were joined together in the 19th century.

One of the most visited areas in the Lakes mainly due to its beautiful location & the 1.5 mile well maintained path around it, which makes it accessible for everyone.

Once owned by Beatrix Potter but now in the very capable hands of the National Trust
