Cwm-yr-Eglwys
A small hamlet with a sandy cove on Dinas Head. Above the beach is the end wall of a chapel. The rest was washed away in the enormous storm of 1859 that created all of Pembrokeshire’s pebble banks.
Keeping The Faith
In the great storm of 1859 the 12th century celtic type church of St Brynach was almost totally destroyed. Only the belfry, west wall and part of the graveyard remained. Over a hundred boats were not so lucky in that storm though.
Another storm in 1979 brought further severe damage, but still the remains stand. Ref:
