South Pembrokeshire

Amroth

Amroth is a small coastal village on the Pembrokeshire / Carmarthenshire border. A long sandy beach stretches the whole length of the village. At extreme low tide you can still see the petrified forest, which is the remains of a forest destroyed when sea levels rose many thousands of years ago. It is the start/end of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path which takes you right around the coast to Poppit Sands in the north of the county.
